I am currently working part-time at a clothing boutique in Belmont called the Station. I'm like a kid in a candy store when a shipment comes in...can't wait to get those boxes open to see what is in them. If you are ever in the area you should stop and check the Station out for women's clothing and shoes, little girls clothing, and home decor. Or check the out on Facebook.
I made a lot of things for Christmas gifts. Crocheted boot cuffs, crocheted scarves, crocheted hooded cowls, crocheted headbands, crocheted name doilies, deco mesh door swags, embroidered hair wraps, embroidered lunch bags, embroidered rain jacket, and embroidered towels.
I surprised my children, grandchildren, and another family with 12 days of Christmas presents. It was just little things but they really enjoyed it. I'm already working on next years 12 days of Christmas.
One of my new projects is learning to coupon. I made my first trip to Publix a few days ago. Amazing!!! Grocery total was around $200; I paid $96. Loved it!!! Then I stopped at Dollar General on my way home Saturday night: total products were about $50 before tax and I paid $26 after tax. Did I buy anything I didn't need in either shopping trip? Absolutely not!!
Two more projects I started on January 1 are the saving pennies and saving dollars challenge. Each day of the year I will put that many pennies in a jar...today is the 4th day of the year so 4 pennies went in the jar. The other is $1 for each numbered week of the year. 1st week $1, 2nd week $2, 3rd week $3, and so on. I hope to continue this all year or at least until Black Friday.
So as you can see, I have been quite busy with the planning processes of the new year along with taking care of the new member of our household. Meet Sabin,
She is a teacup shorkie. I don't know if she even weighs a pound. My granddaughter loves her. She even gave her one of her baby sisters pacifiers. Lol. She puppy sat 2 days last week while she was out of school. It really messed up the training process but we are now getting back on track with that...I hope.
I hope everyone is having a great first week of the new year. Now...
Got things to do!
